My name is David McCaulley,
and I am a composer and pianist.
My primary musical passion is writing music for film. My aim in any project is to help create emotional connections between the viewer and the film. Emotional connections are what leave lasting impressions, and I believe that the music you hear in a film is one of the biggest contributors to this lasting impression.

For many years now I've dedicated much of my time to reducing and analyzing some of the best film scores by many of the film scoring masters. By sharing my analyses freely, my hope is to share my love and passion for film music while perhaps learning a thing or two along the way.
